Slip Joint Pile Caps Sydney NSW

Solid Metal Piling and its authorised affiliates are the only companies in NSW able to utilise a structural slip joint cap on a screw pile. This is a significant advantage for our customers. Screw piles finished flush with the RL of the pad, and not engaged in slabs and footings, must have the surface area enlarged to stop punching shear. In addition to achieving this, Blade Pile’s patented cap is also a structural slip joint.

Renowned piling products from NSW, we have completed over 5,000+ projects and uses high-density, long-life HDPE  to ensure quality, longevity, and better protection for your structure. Contact us for a quote today.

Our Pile Capping Technology

Slip Joint Pile Cap

Our leading product combines with the Blade Pile to create an AS2870-compliant system. It can be used to replace concrete bored piers and offers superior protection against hydraulic soil forces. Following installation the concrete slabs/footings are laid over the cap to provide a non-engaged, isolated load-bearing point. It can rise off, then re-seat, onto the screw piling during periods of hydraulic heave and shrink. That better protects the foundation.

Benefits of a Construction Pile Cap

This product offers your project an efficient, secure, and sustainable foundation that’s superior to traditional options.

Effective Load Distribution

This type of foundation has exceptional and even load transfer across individual foundation points. This reduces overall stress concentrations on the foundation by evenly spreading the load to prevent overloading the foundations.

Greater Structural Stability

Blade Piles slip joint pile cap enlarges the hollow 76mm tube to a flat 200mm surface area. This eliminates punching shear the tube alone would cause.

Efficiency and Versatility

They’re an ideal choice for an efficient construction process, one that saves time and money.

Long-Term Durability

The caps have a long lifespan and ensure the foundation system is durable and robust. It’s also easy to inspect the foundation system to ensure structural integrity. The caps are designed to last a 50-year build life and have been tested to eliminate punching shear at a load of 208 kN.
